Wedding Photography Giveaway for 2014! -Inspiration & Design Photography

I am super excited about this Free Wedding Photography Giveaway announcement!

One of my favorite things about my photography business is all the wonderful clients I’ve met & worked with over the years.   I have had so much fun getting to know each of them. I love  hearing about their love stories and sharing part of their lives with them, as I capture one of the most important days of their lives! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE WEDDINGS, wedding details and how each couple make their special day a unique reflection of who they are. Each client touches my life in a memorable way.  I have gathered so many fond memories of locations, love, laughter, joy, beauty and tears (sometimes my own, okay I’m a romantic sap).  For each client that has blessed my life I want that blessing to flow back out and bless others. I hope to do that by offering my time and talent to benefit a wonderful and unique engaged couple!

So part of this contest is the uniqueness of your love story and as well as the stylish originality of your wedding details.  Your wedding doesn’t have to be extravagant, just unique. Whether it’s designer, or do it yourself, just make it you!  I want to hear how you met and fell in love and what makes you unique as a couple.  Share any random fun facts about yourselves.  Your wedding can be local or a destination.

So…What do you win? Click the read more button and find out!

Please Excuse our Mess

It’s really not my fault. But when I updated word press along with all of my plug-ins yesterday, my photo grid at the top got messed up. I hate when that happens!! Being the total “right brainer” that I am,  I put the coding stuff  in the capable hands of  Kim Doyle, “The WordPress chick” , who is also very creative.    Although she’s very busy, she is making every effort to have this issue fixed A.S.A.P.! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!  She will also be adding a couple of new doo-dads to my blog as well, to offer better features and function.  So please look past our mess, we’ll be pretty again soon.

Thank you!!

Wedding planning – What’s most important to you?

With so many important decisions to make when planning your wedding, suggestions are made to pick the top three most important and put the bulk of your budget into these and find ways to cut back in other areas. To get a feel for the current day bride’s priorites, I thought a poll would be fun! Be sure to leave a comment if I have missed an important aspect of your wedding planning that you would like to mention. Thank you for your participation!

How to Fascinate – Personality test

I received a link from How to FASCINATE in my inbox this morning. Out of curiosity, I went to check out their site. I thought I would share my personalty “blend” of characteristics with you for fun. You may want to visit their site to see what your fascinating personality is.  Have a fascinating Friday!

5 Defining Passion Personality Characteristics

  1. How to Fascinate - 7 Triggers - PassionExpressive: A PASSION personality uses facial expressions, body language and vocal intonation to communicate and add emphasis to their messages. Their engaging presentation style keeps people focused on them and what they are communicating.
  2. Intuitive: A PASSION personality makes decisions using a visceral approach. They Instinctively migrate to a decision or idea based upon feeling rather than hard data. Their emotional intuition allows them to sense how others are feeling and immediately adjust their message to resonate with the audience.
  3. Impulsive: This personality reacts quickly to others and to information, unlike ALARM and PRESTIGE personalities, who are often more carefully goal-oriented in making decisions.
  4. Social: A PASSION personality is approachable and gregarious. They usually build instant rapport with prospects, customers and colleagues, which allows them to excel in positions that require strong interpersonal skills.
  5. Transparent: Someone with PASSION as their primary trigger has difficulty masking emotions; therefore, situations that require negotiation and “bluffing” are difficult for them. They are the opposite of MYSTIQUE personalities, who tend to carefully vet their ideas and shield their personal opinions.

Denise & Brandon – Engagement

I have had the honor of knowing Denise for over a year now. She is my hair stylist and she’s fabulous!! If you need someone awesome to do your hair, I highly recommend her! Not only is she awesome with hair, she’s super sweet and fun to talk to! You can reach Denise at  Hair By Design .   I look forward to my regular visits to the salon, mainly to see Denise. It’s fun getting to see her and talk about girly stuff and laugh. (more…)

Biltmore Estate-Asheville, NC

It’s been an extremely rainy summer this year, which has hindered several plans to go to the beach. However when we saw one sunny day on the weather report for last week, Luke and I decided a day trip to the Biltmore Estate would be a fun way to spend the day.  So with camera in hand, we set off! It was truly a gorgeous day; little humidity and a pleasant breeze. What a welcome relief from the constant monsoons.

Since Luke got his permit and then his license it’s been fabulous to just sit in the passenger seat and let him chauffeur me around.  He loves to drive and I love to enjoy the sites along the way, so it’s a win/win. We love road trips and still hope to make it to the beach before the warm weather ends. (more…)

That’s her…

You may have heard this before, but when I found it on the internet I just had to share;  it’s so sweet.

Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of “HOT”, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will stay awake just to watch you sleep… Wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you’re just as pretty without makeup on. One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky he is to have you…

The one who turns to his friends and says, “That’s her.”
